Swamp witch that was born the is Southern States to a former international model ( Lee Joonho 준호 ) and the heiress of Old Money (Marie Anne Abernathy). Found out he was not exactly normal when he was nine and then he was sent to live in northern Canada in the middle of nowhere so that he wouldn't ruin the family name and stay the fuck away from them.
Still has the family name, but whatever.
He was left in the north with a bunch of ragtag magical beings to fend for himself in a small community and was picked up by an Annishinabe elder who recognized his brand of magic and helped him along. They gave him a new name, Matchitehew, and told him it meant 'Wanderer'. It really means 'he with evil in his heart'.
The elder knows what lies in him, even if Sage doesn't quite realize it yet.
